About X-Sight Interactive

page last updated: December 31 2009.

X-Sight Interactive was founded by Damien Sadler in July 2005.
Determined to give his share to the blind community, he taught an old school friend how to program, having already had three years programming experience.
Originally called DCS Productions, it started out with a very basic game that was known as Acefire. However it isn't at all like the Acefire we know today. It wasn't exciting at all. You either hit or missed. The first person to get five hits would win. It didn't even contain any music!
Then, many people who studied at the RNIB New College, Worcester, England, UK, expressed a wish to learn programming. After starting a programming club, it was decided that we should release our software out to the community.
Since then the newly formed DAC Productions came across a guy on IRC called Michael Forzano who decided he wanted to merge with his company, Quality Audiogames, consisting of him and his mate Vincent Rikotta. so DAC Productions became X-Sight Interactive.
After a series of disagreements between the site hoster and the developers, Damien obtained a subdomain and wrote out an all-new website, which was launched in May 2006.
Since then, we have had scores of initial enthusiasts who dedicated themselves to our work. In August 2006, Michael rejoined X-Sight and showed a new-found enthusiasm for the Bomb Blaster project. Joseli Walter joins in October, filling the role of Assistant Manager, and in December 2006, for a short time, even Munawar Bijani became interested, and did his best to bring the incompetent team to a better sense of professionalism, with the introduction of company policies, application forms for potential members, and categorising the team. Sadly, this failed, and he left in mid January 2007, though Damien then attempted to follow his example. The website was redesigned and a new company logo was created by Kelly Sapergia.
In early February 2007, we welcome a new member, Louis Bryant, formerly BrailleSoft.net. He sounds a very promising recruit.
From then until now there have been lots of members joining; Tamas Géczy in late February, Shaun Everiss, Shaun Edwards, Niko, Vincent Rikotta, Ugur Yuvarlak and Vinay Billimoria.
In August 2007, we now have our own domain, as well as webhosting. Expensive for our current budget but cheap compared to other hosts, but worth it overall.
In 2008, X-Sight becomes slightly dead for a time, due to hackers, corrupted uploads and other such disasters.
X-Sight's members are hardly doing anything now, and even beta products are being leaked out onto the internet.
During 2009, X-Sight has just about formed into a few members, and very little is getting done. However, with the members and resources available, we are doing all we can to get products released.
During 2010, there will be little work on the software side, as we do our best at an attempt to change programming languages. However, More will be done on other services, such as our audio work.
